Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must Have:
• 5 to 10 Years system administration background on any Unix Variant
• Problem solving skills, including application and network-level troubleshooting ability
• Strong understanding of Basic Unix concepts ( OS Internals )and Network Internals
• Experience Basic scripting skills in one or more of: Perl or shell or Python or Ruby
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills / Team Player
• Experience working with development and production operations teams
• Strong focus on maintaining a high Quality of Service.
Education:
• Bachelor of Engineering (CS is plus) / Any Graduate / Diploma
Good to have:
• Good to have enterprise Monitoring skills
• Good to have Administering large-scale distributed applications/release on UNIX
• Good to have experience with SQL and commonly deployed database systems, it’s a plus
Responsibilities:
•Function as a technical generalist responsible for the overall health and performance of our platform
•Develop tools to automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of a large-scale Linux environment
•Gain deep application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design
•Work with development teams to harden, enhance, document, and generally improve the operability of our systems
•Assist in the configuration/build-out of new deployments to facilitate our constant growth
•Participate in a 12x7 (daylight hours) on-call pager rotation
